Based on the WAGS HS sit out lists, there seem to be a lot of Maryland teams in the Fall but not as many Virginia teams in the Spring. One VA parent told me that most VA teams don't sit out even though their kids are playing HS soccer. Anyone have any insight as to why? Almost every Maryland parent I know who has a child that plays for school and for a club team that still plays in a Fall league says that it is too much. What are the benefits and drawbacks? Any info anyone can share might be useful for those U14 teams looking ahead to next fall.
